Ben Jones
Co-Founder & Head of Partnerships
I found myself getting easily frustrated with members of my team when I first started working with Sara. So one of my major discoveries through working with Sara on a group basis was how to influence people as a leader.
The easiest way to change the behaviour of others is to change your own reactions! I looked at how I could communicate differently and how I could model the behaviours I wanted to see from the team. Not only did that give me back my power (and get me out of victim mode), but what I found was that people started to change naturally as a response to me changing. I also discovered the powerful role of the leader as coach.
By asking the right questions at the right time, I could influence change in other people through helping them come to a realisation themselves, rather than trying to convince someone.
If you want to make leading a team more effortless, getting your coaching skills up to scratch will help you to do this. AND this also directly translated into more powerful sales conversations – in my role as Head of Sales.
